Historic Jackson Square
Soulful. Southern. Comfort.
Made-from-scratch meat-and-three, wood-grilled sides and a pie case that's worth the trip. Pull up a chair on the square.

Loved this place! The spaghetti special I got was incredible. Cornbread and rolls are good. Broccoli casserole was excellent. Salmon and squash were also great. Their banana pudding tasted incredible.

We love the catfish, the mac and cheese, and banana pudding!! Very appreciative that they have a number of gluten-free items on their menu.

I’m sad for all the cornbread muffins I didn’t have until we found Dean’s. Do not miss the desserts! We picked up a couple of things from the bakery side to take home and we will absolutely be back.

Soulful
Food born from putting your whole self into it, plate after plate, the same way it was cooked the day before.
Southern
A way of life that is subtle but strong, and always polite. Recipes from home, not a stack of flavors piled on for show.
Comfort
Food that makes you feel at home and eases your mind. Pot roast, dumplings, cornbread, and a pie case on the way out.
